Had a quick afternoon at Bushy Park with Colin on sunday. Didn't have too much luck finding any deer in decent locations although we followed this one who ended up having a good old splash about it a big muddy section of water. He totally soaked himself in water and mud which looked quite nice against the warm colours away from the shade of the tree we were under. He then wondered off out in to the grasses behind making sure he was always in a position that wasn't quite right photographically, from where we were...

Hi Richard,

As you say he was being very difficult to get in a nice position, looks like you were shooting into the light, and have held the exposure really well. The image does seem to have a bit of a cyan cast though. Nice action shot and I van hear him roar!

Regards

Rob

Cheers Rob, he was being a right bugger not being in position and had he not been all wet and dirty I wouldn't have bothered with the shot. The cast is from the setting sun out in the field behind, on my work monitor it doesn't seem to be leaking on to the Stag itself but I'll have a double check at home later
