Could anyone point me into the right direction in finding a wildlife photography guide for Indiana? I've found one that is pretty generic and tells about locations of parks and types of wildlife that may be found. http://www.amazon.com/Indiana-Wildlife-Viewing-Guide-Phil/dp/1560440716

that is the link, but I wonder if there is anything that goes into more depth with a concentration on photography? any guesses?

Thanks!

I own a book called Unexpected Indiana. It's got lots of places in it even I (a native Hoosier) didn't know existed!

There is also Wild and Scenic Indiana

Hey Stephen - I think I can also recommend Unexpected Indiana - mostly because about half of the photographs are mine!! :jump: (Thanks for the promo Amy!)

One other reference to consider is "The Nature Conservancy's Guide to Indiana Preserves" (full disclosure - again about half the photos are mine!). This book will show you even MORE places that you may not be aware of, some that are pretty tough to find otherwise. I am not sure how to post a link, but a search of either the Indiana University Press website, or Amazon should get you to the book pretty easily. The advantage of the Guide is that it includes a description of the locations, as well as a map to actually find it.....

I am not aware of any specific photography guides for the state, but the one you mentioned, combined with the books Amy and I have commented on should give you plenty of options.

Thanks, CJ

Hey Christopher---

I was just in Bloomington IN the other day (my daughter is considering attending IU next year) and I saw--and bought--the Nature Conservancy book with your photos in it. It's a great, very nicely layed out guide book with excellent images! We live in SW Illinois but are always looking to expand our hiking and picturing vistas so I think your book will come in handy. :wavey:
