Taken at Snettisham in September on the high tide, this immature Grey Plover was amongst the knot but hadn't the nouse to take flight when the Peregrin flew over. Needless to say that it must either not be the food of choice or is simply to big for the Peregrin. It stood there billy-no-mates for about 10 minutes before taking flight.

Nice shot Tom. Just needs a litte a/c rotation for me. Like the way the wind is ruffling the feathers. Eric
Nicely composed Tom and I particularly like the ruffled feathers that give the image a bit more 'life'. As for the rotation, it looks to me as though you were at an angle to the water line which would give the appearance of an off level shore but from the angle of the bird I suspect it would look as if it will nosedive if you apply any rotation. So for me it's fine as it is.

I like this very much as a composition, the pose of the bird and the ruffled feathers, the wonderful colour of the water and the reflection. Background is good too!! A lovely picture.

Very nice indeed. Love the assortment of colour and the inclusion of the bird's reflection.
