Steptoe Mule in flight
First trip to steptoe last week. I hiked down from the top to the picnic area and must have spooked at least 20 deer out of the apple trees on the way down. Most heard me walking on the road at 1/4 mile or more. One spike buck held his ground and huffed at me from under his apple tree, only got a very soft shot of him. I just kept walking.
