Could not make up my mind to remove the little bit of grass in front of this bird or to leave it as it was taken.
very nice, not a bird I've ever seen. Nice grassy setting too. The stray blade of grass doesn't bother me.

Hi Keith,
Lovely plumage on these. Blade of grass does not bother me, but I do think it could do with a bit more USM.

hi
I'd leave the grass as it is as it does not detract from the image. Not sure about the USM, first look seems a little soft in places, but looking closer (with my glasses!!) it seems ok
cheers

Hi Kieth This is a great image.
You shouldn't be allowed to take pics like this.!
Very envious. I'm sure it was stuffed. !
The grass doesn't bother me and it looks sharp enough to me. Some birds have these cheek feathers that just never look tack sharp.
Great shot.

Very nice image but i don't like the square crop. Would prefer more on the left, but that's just a personal thing.

I'm envious Keith, its a lovely shot of one of my favorite moorland birds. A slight nit - I would tone down the grass highlights to the left of the neck, otherwise its fine for me.

as the colours involved would support the removal try it and see what they all think.
