7 Road, Ridgway
I took this shot on Sunday evening. I enjoyed shooting with John Jarivenen, and Peter Packer(?) I looked for members of the forum everywhere I went, asking anyone I came across, and except for John and Brian Johnson, I didn't meet anyone. Strange, since I was gone from Thursday to Tuesday, and started at Twin Lakes, then went to Maroon Bells, McClure Pass, Kebler, Lake Irwin, Lake City, Ridgway for 2 days, Silverton, Lizard Head Pass, and ended at Silver Jack. Maybe next year. As everyone is saying, this weekend will probably be as close to peak as it can get at many places. I was a little early at most places. The aspen are fantasic! Vibrant and healthy. So much better than the last 2 years.

Very nice shot Morris! it's so different from the last time i was there. the colors are more pastel and soothing. The orange scrub oak really make it a great picture. congrats!

Wow! What a blast of color! I was up this valley this July and envisioned what fall would be like but didn't quite imagine this.

Great comp and great capture of the color. I bet the overcast skies helped. Good job.

Thanks everyone. It is a very nice spot for photos. And yes, Kalin, I think the clouds helped saturate the colors, and insert drama into the shot.

Wow - this is really sweet, Morris. Nice sky, fantastic mountain view, u-shaped valley filled with aspen, great color and texture in the meadow and amazing color in the foreground aspen... plus a stream working its way through the scene. I could sit and stare at this for a very long time.
