CAZ's Crazy Coyote and other stuff
I spent last week in the Tetons region with a great crowd of incredibly talented Photogs. The conditions were great!

I'm just starting to do the serious sorting and pruning. The 'Animals' folder is at the top of the list.

CAZ and I spotted this coyote walking next to the road in Yellowstone, so we pulled ahead of him and waited for him to catch up with us. He ended up crossing the road and started ducking and dodging and jumping around. He was chasing bugs for an afternoon snack. Pretty funny to watch.

Here he is jumping at a grasshopper or something

Probably typical of a lot of Yellowstone wildlife, he wasn't too concerned about all of the people around.

Of course no trip to the region would be complete without a Bison shot. I shot a lot of bison but most are ho-hum shots. I kind of liked this portrait.
This is almost full-frame. He/She was close!

The color reflecting at Oxbow Bend was a great backdrop for some feeding ducks

Last one! Just to lend a little perspective for the last image. Gotta love Oxbow Bend!

Really nice collection, Kalin. I especially like the buffalo, but they are all good.

Teeeetonsss, Teeetonsss, Teeetonsss.... I am downright jealous Kalin! A very nice collection! The buff portrait is really nice and so is the bug jumping coyote. But where's the moose! Seriously, I love the Tetons in the fall and was hoping to work a trip in this fall. I might have to go for winter this year.

Kalin - Those coyote shots came out great! I particularly like the way you were able to capture the intense look of the coyote as he zeroed in on the grasshopper! That was certainly one zany coyote.

Also, all that autumnal gold in the first duck shot makes that one a great addition to your ever-expanding duck-butt portfolio.

Nice images! Really like the coyotes. You also have some nice details in the bison as well.

What a great series. I think the second one of the coyote is my favorite...talk about focused! (the animal and the camera).

Thanks, everyone.
Amy, we finally got some nice clouds at sunrise on Saturday. I bet you broke some land speed records getting back to Denver for your flight!
John, the only moose I saw was at night and departing the roadway. There were a few times I was certain I would run into one as I rounded a bend in the trail - with a little apprehension, but no joy.

I'm definately a wildlife photography opportunist - they walk in front of me. But I really admire the accomplished wildlife photogs and what it really takes to get good wildlife shots (Dan) . Thanks for the comments.
