From last October, but one of my all time favourites.

The centre of attention is quite stunning, but there's a bit too much under exposed 'peripheral' for me overall.

But the Deer, godrays and dappled bracken are superb Mark.

Simply stunning, but yes I agree with Andy. Maybe quite a bit of the top and very slightly in on both sides?

Other than that absolutely stunning !

Beautiful but agree about cropping.

yes, a bit of cropping would turn this from a nice shot into a great shot IMO. The light and silhouettes are fantastic.

Hi Mark,

Once in a lifetime this one!! Well done for getting the exposure right! Agree with cropping from top and sides. But what a stunner!!

Good work

Some off the top and the left will transform the image IMHO. The lighting and silhouettes are superb.

Very well done. Great black areas for text as well. Publishers dream.

wow, thanks everyone - will revisit the original RAW and try out different crops, if I recall this was about 50% of the image cropped out of the center, so should have a fair bit to play with.

thanks again.

Lovely light & atmosphere.

Wonderfull picture. My only nit is on the right side of the image. There is something (don't know what) besides/below the tree, that IMO does not belong there.
