Evening all, I'm looking to get a new monitor and was looking at getting a glossy screen with as much resolution as possible, size is a slight issue as i need to fit it in a little alcove of my desk.

I was just wondering if anyone had a monitor that they find really useful and perfect for image editing.

Thanks in anticipation for any comments & help !

Take a look at this

http://www.oled-display.net/sony-shows-several-oled-panels-at-the-ceatec-2008-event

"Sony also shows the XEL-2, the 27-inch model is incredibly 10 millimeters thin panel and offers over 1,000,000 :1 contrast ratio with outstanding brightness, exceptional color reproduction, and a rapid response time. Sony want to bring out the XEL-2 in 2009"

I want one now!!!

I purchased a Dell 24" 2408WFP recently.

Excellent monitor, good value at £420 when I bought it, seems to be dearer now so shop around for 3rd party suppliers (e.g. scan computers) for best price.

The Dell 2408WFP is probably the best 24" monitor in the price range at the moment, otherwise buy and Eizo or Lacie.
