Hi Barry,
Good picture. But as already said before, I also think this is one for a big print. I let print some pictures myself as a big print (at least I think it's big) 90 cm * 60 cm and it is astonishing what a difference this could make for picture (instead of 10*15 cm).

Clearly I needed to be more informative in respect of the subject. Location is Yellowstone National Park at dawn this is an active volcanic crater from which sulphur and hot water constantly stream creating a sureal scene enhanced by the reaction of other minerals. Coupled with sunrise ten to fifteen minutes provide a spectacle of colour prior to the harsh light of the day.
Shot in Raw 3888x2592 resized PS2 for posting large print enhances the image raises the game.
Thanks for looking.

Wonderful shot Barry, I spent a couple of weeks in Yellowstone in '04 and your shot brings back many happy memories. like you say a large wall print of this would show it off in all its glory!

Hi Barry,
It's a cracking scene, but the image is let down for me with the camera shake. It's evident in the nearest tree to the right and the distant mountains. At 1/40 you need to be using a tripod or at worst a bean bag or rolled up jumper on something, but hand held at that shutter speed you will do well to get a sharp result.
Regards

What an amazing place...I agree about it being a wee bit shaky though.

Critique and comments most welcome.
Back in Blighty with a few examples that I would like to seek advice on if I may.

I can't really work out what it is though ?
As Helge says- the size does not do it justice.
Good one Barry
