Smokies Fall Color

Planning to go to the park later this month and wanted to get an update on fall color. Any idea when peak may be in and around the national park?

i live an hour and a half away and the colors are out here, i will be going to the smokies on the 25th for a workshop so i hope they are still as bright as ever!

From what I have seen the foliage is in the VERY early stages of changing. It seems to me that the color is about two weeks behind. I don't know if that means it will peak later than normal, I guess the leaves could still change and fall really quickly. I don't know enough about it to know for sure.
