Capped Heron on post Pantanal
Have at last a bit more time and have 'done' another species from my Pantanal trip. This a a most elegant looking heron, I was very taken with this species.

Usual gear: D2x, 200-400 plus 1.4 converter, 1/160 at f/5.6, iso 400, exp comp +1. Tripod.
Raw, Cs3.

Hi Paula,

Lovely colourfull looking bird. IMO I think it would sit better with a bit off of the left and more on the right.

Regards

Rob

Looks ok to me - a touch to the left might be better but no big deal. Nice looking bird though.

Hi Paula,

A very exotic and attractive looking species

A very attractive bird! I would agree about taking a little off the left, but no big deal. Very nice background. Looks like it could do with more sharpening on my monitor. I like the soft pastely colours.

Hi Paula,

Beautiful looking bird! I'd actually add some canvas to the right apposed to cropping too much of the left.

What a beautiful bird! I agree about the composition ( I would take some off the bottom just to be different!) and also that a little more sharpening around the eye would help.

a nice looking bird and a well taken shot. I also think a bit more sharpening around the eye and more room on the right would make it even better.

Hi Paula, agree with Dawn and possibly a bit more punch perhaps just to lift it?
