Ok, I've been posting a bunch of shots from my trip to Alaska. No sense stopping now. This one is from the Ice Museum we visited north of Fairbanks. Everything inside the refrigerated building is made of ice. You could even buy a Martini at the ice bar...you get to keep the ice martini glass as a souvenir.
This place used to be an actual ice hotel with 4 rooms, the State shut them down though...no sprinkler system!

Anyway, they had some really cool LED lighting in the place to create all these great colors. This table and vase where taken in one of the hotel rooms.

Interesting story and a really cool (pun intended) shot. A really nice still life sort of shot.

Didn't they point out to the state that the sprinkler system would freeze up and be useless for a fire starting on ICE! - Doh!

Wow, what a neat shot!

I had heard of the ice hotel some time ago. That's the most idiotic thing I've heard for a reason to shut it down! Doh! is right!!

"Cool shot". Yeah, honey, lets go to a 'ice hotel' on our anniversary. Lol! The doghouse for me!
