I am not so sure you will want to be out in the rain this weekend up along peak to peak. Things should start falling apart this afternoon through Monday. Nice capture.
Great forest floor shot. Love the colors and textures.

Bill, that second shot is a real beaut! Tech specs?
Bill, that second shot is really great! The first one could use a bit more contrast and perhaps a little saturation in my opinion. I was up there this morning and the light just never materialized through the thick clouds. Oh well, I'll try again next year since this big storm is likely to clean a lot of the aspen trees up here.

Thanks, Nate. This was next to Lower Copeland Falls, in Wild Basin. The textures and colors really caught my eye. I spent over an hour trying various compositions - in between waiting for the wind to calm.
Canon 1DsII, TS-E 90 mm, no shifts - on a tripod with polarizer @ f/16, 0.6 sec, ISO 100
No crop.
Can anyone ID the plant ?

Erik, sorry to hear the light was bad this morning. But then, at least you have a short drive.
I agree with you on the contrast and saturation, as posted.
This JPEG was exported directly from Lightroom 2, so was the second.
In Lightroom I had all the contrast and saturation that I could stand, and it looks spectacular when viewed on the same monitor !!!
I can't explain why the first image was trashed, while the second looks fine, with just a minor decrease in contrast and saturation
Nate, can you offer an explaination ?
I may try an export from CS3 and see if it makes any difference.

Bill,
What if you flipped the second pic 90 degrees CW? Love it by the way!
