you checked out my gallery from a 6-day, 2500 mile trip to Colorado this past week. Both the shooting and the sorting through all 1700 pics took quite a bit of hard work. Thus, I would love to hear your thoughts/critiques (but typing is fine, too) either here or on the pbase website. It was great to meet a few of you along the way...thanks for all of the tips and for being so kind to Staley and I!

For those of you still there...I hope your wildest shooting condition dreams come true after this weekend's storms. I will be watching eagerly for your results!

Very extensive collection Brian. You got to a lot of the hotspots this year. I think my favorites are the late evening ones of Wilson Mesa. You have good stuff and should get your own Web site.

Excellent collection. Nice work Brian. I don't use pBase, but some of your shots look soft on their individual pages because they are displayed as "Large" which is a blurry & slightly smaller version of the "original" size. I would see if there is a solution, to show the true beauty of your work.

Yes, John, that's very true. That's why I encouraged people to use the "original" size. The problem is caused by pbase distorting images that are saved at certain sizes. The solution is for me to upload slightly smaller versions of these images...I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I am currently in the process of creating my own website, Joshua. Currently, I just can't invest the up-front collateral (~$2000) that it would take to do it well. Any less-expensive, quality ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks so much for looking and for your comments, though.

You've got some nice stuff in your collection, Brian. Thanks for the link. My yearly fall road trip petered out, so going through your photos was the next best thing. Thanks!

Josh,
Take a look at gigshowcase.com as an inexpensive, very easy to set up site. My photos are on there (I just put them up last week so a lot of it is still incomplete and needs tweaking) but will give you a very economical website with a real human being to talk to who knows and understands needs of photographers.

Brian,
It was great shooting with you and Staley. He is a fun companion.
Looked at your site, and you really got some great shots on your trip. It was very productive.

Great to meet you, Morris, and I also had a blast shooting next to you. Thanks for the tips and for sharing your wonderful state with Staley and I. Speaking of Staley, his new coat gave him some pretty nasty blisters. We're having to watch them closely to make sure they don't get infected...poor lil' guy! Have a great winter and maybe see you in the spring.
