Out for a hike today ... looking for Fall colors ... and happened upon a very friendly chipmunk. The time spent with him/her made up for the lack of colors on the trees. Hopefully the colors will be much more friendlier this week coming up.

Photo notes: I really pushed the envelope with this shot. 1600 ISO, 300mm, no tripod, at 1/200 sec. from a Canon 400D. Did the best I could with manual focus, too.

It's sharp in the eyes, with a nice clean background...not much more you can hope for. Yeah, your settings are rough, but the shot is great!
