I was at the Busch Nature Preserve near St Louis last week and saw this "stick-up" filled with lures and floats in one of the lakes. Adjustments were made in Lightroom to bring out the colors and calm down the brightness of the limbs. Also minor crop for effect. The ripples on the water gave it the Monet look for the background.

I guess they all thought they were better than the last guy that got hung up. Funny shot Merle! Sort of a fisherman's Christmas Tree.

Wow! Merle you would think those fishing would get a hint here?

I sure hope this is a kid's pond ... very funny and a nice stataement on the determination of fishermen. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting shot, Merle. The Monet effect is a nice touch, and you've done a good job toning down the brightness of the limbs.

Thanks all for your comments. This was a lake (pond) used for conservation instruction and not open for public fishing. I figured it must have been used for instructional purposes. I knew going in that this was not a "Statement" shot but was more for giggles and grins.
