Puffin landing
Another puffin shot I hear you say.

Lots of puffin shots posted this summer but thought I would add one into the mix. Taken during my first trip to see Puffin at Skomer in June 2008. I am not sure what I think of it but most of my family like it, hence I welcome any advice and pointers for a new member

Nikon D70s, 80-200mm lens, iso 200

Great shot! Excellent composition also. It may be worth cloning out the blurred white circle and I'd perhaps brighten it up a little. Tristan

Hi Ben,

OK another Puffin shot, but I don't recall seeing one with a fantastic pose like this! Great sharpness and action. I do think you could lift it a bit more (levels, contrast and saturation) in post processing. Totally out of your control, but I find the white "strip" in the BG that converges with the head a little off putting, I like the jewel like sparkling of the water but maybe worth cloning the bright one in front of the bird.

Good work and thanks for sharing

Regards

Rob

Yes another puffin shot. But a terrific one I think. Something else then most of the puffin shot's.
Wel done.

Very nice indeed. I'd certainly take out the white circles.
