Nuthatch part II
Less sharpening (smart sharpening 86/0,2) and reduced the saturation on the heather.
C&C more then welcome.

I prefer the composition of this one to your last one Edwin. It looks more balanced somehow. I think this is a lovely shot.

Good shot Edwin ,but somehow the heather doesn't seem right against the birch, which at ground level would be more stumpy and furrowed. I,m being picky but its just my opinion.

Cracking pose and an amazing complementary background Edwin

Wonderful pose of your bird, Edwin, and I love the colours of your shot.

Technically superb, beautiful to look at, but it looks too like a set up for me. Whether it is or not, the moss makes it look like a fallen log that has been stood on end. For all that, it is a wonderful photograph, as was the last one.

Can see where Eric is coming from, for this sort of image to be effective attention to detail is very important, I prefer this to your previous post, knowing you, I am sure it will only get better.

Edwin, I am going to agree with Phil on this one. I had a look at your previous image and this one is much better IMHO. I like the different pose and superb detail in the bird and the environment isn't as dominating. I am really looking forward to more in this series.

Kind regards,

Lovely image. The colours are spot on - really nice, subtle but still colourful. The sharpness and composition are fantastic, as is the pose!
