Sunshine Volcanic National Monument in AZ. The ground is covered with a layer of pumice and strewn with a'a lava. Large areas with no vegetation made the place look alien. The new growth on these trees in Spring casts a pleasant contrast to the "moonscape." What'd'ya think?

I like the set of three trees, but would have liked to seen a little more on the right side. Bet there is something over there.

Catherine - love the vibrant green against the black rock and the sharpness/contrast on this web version is really eye grabbing. I agree with Jerry about the right side and I also prefer less scrub in the FG. Any chance you took a horizontal of this zoomed in to just below the trunk of the tree on the left?

That's just what I was thinking.
Okay you bums! I'll see what I can do. May have to get out the book of magic for this one. I don't think i have a horizontal, so that means there must have been something mighty ugly over on the right... And you don't like the scrubby fg? What's matter with ya? It's desert-y.

Thanks for viewing and leaving a few words.

Don't know what it is about square images, but they sure require a lot more jpeg compression...
