Another Mono shot.
Here is one of the last shots from Sunday morning before I left some rock formations above the Scenic Mono Basin.

It's cropped not a pano.

Steve,

I like this. The sky was so crystal clear after the storm blew thru and I like the depth thanks to that clarity. Also like the opposing rock formations. Was this somewhere off of grade up to Conway Summit? Lot's of neat rocks up there.

Great meeting you this weekend. Hard to believe it's come and gone already.

Great framing on this iconic area, Steve. The one rock on the shelf on the right looks to be beating the odds of physics from this angle. A neat structure on it's own.
Gosh, I guess Sunday was very clear looking at this capture. I left at Zero Dark Thirty that morning so I was not seeing too much at that time.

Lon, This was taken from south of the lake and west of the 395. The weather said it would be a partly cloudy morning. I was going call you to see if you were all shooting the marina but not a cloud in the sky had me moving real slow.

Paul, yep zero clouds.

That water in the lake is way to blue. Oh well.

Hey Steve,

It was great to finally meet you on Saturday.

This such a crystal clear photo, really showing the atmospheric conditions the day after the storm. It makes me sigh wishing to be there again - I think that makes it a succesful photo!

I like the barren look of this.

I love the broad/wide presentation. The composition is well balanced and there is some wonderful light to go along with it. Shows off the landscape very effectively.

Regards.
