Misty river
Just getting some spotty color. We had rain most of the day and then about 4:00 it got misty, I happened to be by the river and shot three views. I was not sure if I liked it better as it is or with a little sharpening. I went with this as it was what I liked about the view to start.

The splash of color and the reflection are nice, but I'd raise the white point up; it's a bit muddy/midtonish at the moment.

Joel, I am not sure how to do that though I am sure it is good advice.

What editing software do you use Kendall?

I have been using the "Master 2" software that came with the camera, but I have Arcsoft Photostudio 5.5 that I was using with my P&S camera. I have only been croping, resizing and sharpening, have not worked with much else. I have been mostly pleased with the shots I had and didn't want to mess them up. only went to DSLR in Feb. Then the flood & cleanup took up most of the summer. I hope to get time to work more on things this winter after harvest.

You don't need Adobe PS necessarily...a program such as the latest version of Paint Shop Pro will also do nicely (at a lot less money!). You can use Levels or Curves to bring up the whites (and midpoints) a bit to brighten the scene nicely.
