Dipper
Hi to all,

Dipper, one from last year, photographed on a very cold day hence his fluffed up appearance, the eye isn't as sharp as I would have liked but I think I was still getting used to the 500mm, thanks for looking.

can't remember the techs

Apologies for the lack of participation over the last few weeks, I've been putting in some ground work at a new Weasel site.

I like the puffed-up look, quite different from the norm.

Hi Andy,

Nice looking shot, agree with you re sharpness, although Ithink if you add some more you can get looking better (USM 100, 0.2, 0). Look forward to your new Weasel shots!!

Regards

Well done.

Good shot, like others would need to travel to shot it myself, so allways interesting.

I'm a 500mm user and interested in your comment re getting used to it. Any tips?

Regards Chris

Thanks for the comments guys, pleased you like it.

Hi Chris, it took me quite some time before I managed to capture a truly sharp image with the 500mm, knowing the reputation of the Canon 500F4IS I thought it would just be the case of pressing the shutter and every shot would be pin sharp, but as you can see with the above image this isn't the case, big glass technique takes time to learn, so the only tip I can give you is perseverance, just keep taking the shots and the technique will come, hope this helps.

that's a nice one, I like the composition too. A slight shame about the softness in the eye, but it still looks very nice.
