I would like to announce that I have a new macro photography how to book, that will be out around the week of October 20th. It’s called “Tiny Landscapes, When-Where-How”. The book is for the new to advanced close-up/macro nature photographer. It’s a simple and easy to read guide to the equipment, camera functions, composition, techniques, and tips. It contains many images, plus information about the subjects, time of year and environment they were found in. The thought process that goes into a composition, and tips on where to find interesting subjects in nature. The book can be pre-ordered online at www.MikeMoatsBooks.com or www.Amazon.com, do a search for Tiny Landscapes. My website, www.tinylandscapes.com

Thanks Mike for the heads-up. I'm sure it'll be a great book as you're undoubtedly one of the finest when it comes to macro.
Congratulations Mike on the book. I have always enjoyed your very fine closeup and macro work.

Mike, I have a Nikon D300 and an old 55mm Micro (or Macro?) Nikkor, f2.8? It is supposed to have been very crisp and clear when I had it for my F3. Any ideas on performance in digital with this lens. And, yes, congrats on the book. Larry

Congrats on the completion of your project Mike, I'll definately check it out when it arrives on the 20th. I've wondered how you get some of your images, hopefully I'll get a better idea soon.
