First posting on the board. Just got back from RMNP, caught the elk rut in Estes Park, and loved the Aspens.

Jeff, welcome and thanks for posting! Glad to hear you had a good trip to RMNP. Can you give some technical info about your photo?
I like how the shadows on the road lead from the bright aspens to the rocks to the right; the curve of the road is nice too. I think the top left corner/sky could use a little work, and overall the image you posted looks a bit soft. Maybe a result of the processing for final JPG?
Hope you enjoy participating, this is a great group with lots of really talented folks.

Hey Nat, thanks for the feedback, actually I shot the image with a canon 20d with a 24-105 IS lens. Capture was raw w/ a medium jpeg. Image was shot at f5 1/50sec. Probably the reason it looks soft is I posted a low res version of the medium jpeg. ( I haven't had time to work on the raw images.) I'm really looking forward to learning from the folks on this board.

Welcome to the forum Jeff!. Good to see you got up to RMNP to catch the colours and Elk, it was pretty amazing this year up there (except for the crowds). I like the composition here with the curving road and shadows, but as Nat pointed out the Top left sky is a little funky. Look forward to seeing some more!.
