Colorado trailside color
I've been looking in and enjoying the beautiful Colorado scenics put up by Bill and Tom recently. Here is an intimate look at some of the trailside color to be found when hiking in Colorado this time of year.

5D, 24-70L @ 60 mm, 1/20 @ f/11, ISO 200, polarizer

That's a beautiful composition Wayne. Love the yellow and red set against the blue/gray rock. And the lone green leaf is a nice touch.

I wanted to get some of these type compositions while I was on my trip, but could't tear myself away from the big, wide-open vista shots. You've certainly got a nice one here...splendid shot!

Wayne, great detail shot, as Bill said, it was hard to stop and look down last week. This will make a great print.

I'll echo the others on the colors and composition, and add that that is a very striking shade of red. Do you know what kind tree or shrub that is?

I really like the dark tones in this Wayne. These type of intimate shots as I'm learning can invoke as much emotion as the grand vistas. Nicely seen and captured.

Thanks guys. Randy, I'm not sure what this is but I think I'll try to identify it when time permits. If you look closely it has small needles/thorns along the main trunk and if memory serves me, this grows into a shrub with clustered berries.
