Tenaya Lake
On my way to the Mono Basin last weekend to search for fall color and meet up with fellow shutterbugs, I passed through Yosemite and had about the best conditions on my trip. While I just had my LF color films developed today, this image was made with the 1Ds3 and a 24-105. Enjoy....

I like the semi-S curve formed by the shoreline. Nice tones in the conversion too.

An excellent view and capture from this super iconic lake. Has to be one of my all time favorite places to sit and just take in life. Thank you for posting it, Jeffrey.

Jeffrey,

Excellent comp all the way around and very nice tones with the b&w. I also like the slight softening of the lakes surface from the wind-aided ripples.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's images. I won't get to see my 4x5's until after the 18th... :-(

Jeffery,

Nice meeting you in person finally. Great subject and light for B&W.

Plenty of interest top to bottom here. I like the way my eye follows the curve of those shoreline boulders off into those distant granite peaks and clouds. Well seen, captured and converted.
