North Lake Reflection

I liked the lines that the tree ridges formed on the far shoreline of North Lake so I played around with a bunch of different compositions.

Love the composition, Richard. The lines are truly the best in this scene following the various levels of the shoreline in the water reflection. Appears to be fairly bright however, not sure if it is time of day or maybe too much exposure? Otherwise a really super capture overall.

Thanks Paul. It was a bit tough to tame the highlights on the foliage in this shot but I felt that since the reflection was the main attraction to this, exposing for the water was more important. I used some selective color to try burning in the foliage as is.

Definitely a well-seen image, nicely balanced with the nice diagonals as well. I would have to agree though that this is just a bit too bright for my tastes. I can see your desire to make sure the reflection is well seen, but it's at the expense of the brightness becoming a distraction, IMHO.

Still, a beautiful scene that should be great with a few processing changes.

A revision. Upon further glance, i think the yellow might have been a bit posterized in the first version.

Mucho better Richard. I can see some detail now in the yellows. Looks great now.

The repost looks good. Nice mixture of colors and lines you captured here. I might consider cloning out those few grasses peeking in from the LLC, but other than that the repost works perfectly for me. Good stuff!
