Spent the last four days shooting in the San Juans with Monte Trumbull and Luke Tingley. Good company, good beer and some nice scenery to boot - courtesy of last weekend's snowstorm. The image above was my effort from last night (9/8) before heading home. Compositionally, I preferred a 4x5 format for this one so I cropped it as such.
Thanks for putting up with me and the dog, guys. It was a lotta fun! Good luck finding some clouds during your last couple of days.

Real nice colors, composition and reflection!
Never occurred to me to turn off to that lake during my weekday wanderings in the San Juans. I'm glad that it occurred to y'all!
Was that a great storm, or what?!

Nice shot Guy... Looks like you're missing some clouds though! ;-)

Guy did pretty well, he put up with us for a few days before he took off. We were able to run Jim out of town MUCH faster!!

This is a sweet, sweet shot, Guy. Blue skies are no problem with a scene like this.

Thanks everyone. The storm was definitely a blessing. The snowy peaks made dealing with the clear blue skies a little more bearable...unless your name is Luke!!

I love this spot but didn't get to visit it this year. Thanks for posting, excellent image.

Guy, Really a great shot! Very nice colorful foreground. Clear blue skies look great with those golden trees.

Wonderful Guy! Perfect combo on colors! Nice to see Woods Lake that way, as both times I've been there it was literally 20-30 mph winds! I'll keep trying!
