As nice as this view is, I think we can do better. I hereby invite anyone to "improve" the view from Alta, Colorado. Take this original photo...

...and now let's make a template. You can copy this one and alter it as you wish.

Here's a few examples I've come up with...

Here's a good way to make it your own:
1.Right-click and save the template image
2. Make a canvas in PS that's 720x480 pixels in size
3. Open the template image
4. Click on the white window box with the Magic Wand tool
5. Go to Select>Inverse
6. Control-C to copy the selection
7. Paste (Control-V) onto the canvas
8. Drag your photo of choice onto the canvas, making sure that it appears below the pasted template image on the layers palette. Size and move it to taste.
9. Convert to sRGB and flatten and you're ready to go!

Well, here is one of those times where I actually wish I was a true member, so I could post an image in my reply. Instead, you'll just have to go HERE.

Yes, Mr. P.I. was a definite laugh-out-loud moment. I love Guy's shark, too.

Sometimes you just have to go to great lengths to make a phone call, including using a wet suit and oxygen tank!.
Didn't make this up, this was in a Pub back garden back in my native England.

Don, there you went and did it AGAIN! The first thing my wife (pictured above) said when I showed her this was, "Oh, you need to do a 'Rear Window' theme!" I did a Google image search for "Rear Window" and just didn't see anything I could make work. You did it better than I could've ever imagined!

Thanks to Todd, Grant, and others for your nice comments. I'm glad y'all could share in the amusement I felt while "creating" these. As far as I'm concerned EVERY one is a winner!
Great concept, Todd!

Abosultely a great thread! I am working up a couple entries of my own. One might be of interest to a certain weather man we all know I really need a good laugh or two and this did the trick!
