Hi all
Following on from yesterdays post...Returned to the same site tonight to have another go at the barn owls and glad to say they were playing ball. Not quite the pose I'm after (hoping for a portrait shot to show off the gnarly perch) but at least he had the good grace to turn up when the light was fantastic!

Very nice indeed Simon. Great light and the birds not bad either.

What a poser he is! Gorgeous light and colours. This must look superb when large.

Lovely late evening shot, and I,m pleased to see that you have not adjusted the "time of day colour"
As it should be.
Good stuff

PS I would take a little off the left hand side and see what you think.

Yes, Andy, a little closer than I'd intended, but where I had planned to put the hide the local cows had, shall we say, left me some presents! Fortunately this owl seems very tolerant of me - he was even hunting around me as I was pitching the hide at 3-30pm!

Absolutely wonderful shot
Agree with JohnR about maybe a slight crop off the left.
