Bit of a pushing match from Bradgate yesterday.

Not an image to shake the world to its core, and certainly not the shot I was after but I like the eye in the young stag on the right.

Not much light as you might tell from the techs :frown:

D300
200-400 f4 Nikor + 1.4TCEII
ISO 2000 (yes that's right)
1/125th sec @ f5.6

Full Frame
Bibble Pro and a bit of Noise Ninja.

Nice to meet some of the "Old Lags" again too - and a big thanks to Danny Green for supplying the entertainment

Thanks for looking as ever :toast: :toast: :toast:

Andy,

Agree, I really like the stags eye on the right. Nice image. Colours have come out well.

Hi Andy,
I love the eye contact of the two.
The forground works good for me. It gives a bit more discretion to the two guys fight.

Considering everything was against you, you've managed to pull out a really good shot. The eyes definately have it!

I think you've caught the action quite well - the right eye saves the image, I feel its a little cluttered but it still works rather well.. You'll definitely have plenty more chances to get different versions/comps. It doesn't seem like the rut is in much of a swing at Bradgate yet. The cold weather on Thursday morning really got them going, but the last few days of warmth has calmed them down a tad.

ISO 2000 eh! Where's the noise the size of golfballs? This digital's wonderful stuff isn't it. Shame the eye on the left isn't framed as well as that on the right.

Nice shot Andy, making the best of a bad job, but a good day all the same. I thought Danny was doing pretty well considering all the 'help' he was getting from the pound seats. Good to catch up with you again.
