Fall Color in the Buttermilks
I met up with Cory Freeman at the Buttermilks a week and a half ago and we took his Jeep on a bumpy ride to a nice aspen grove. After the sun had gone down, I saw some nice looking dead vegetation on the ground so I made this picture.

Thanks.

Ya know, Cory sure gets around in that ole Jeep doesn't he?
Yep, the Buttermilks can sure be great this time of the year. The bare bush seems to have some cyan in it to me on my screen, Richard. I might try some Selective Color on that maybe. I kind of see what you were going for here, but the BG area at the top edges seems a bit too intense and keeps dragging my eyes towards it. I really like the yellow ground cover here, those would be worth a seperate photo for sure if you took any of those to share.

Thanks guys. Yeah I agree Paul, this was taken well after dark so there is definitely some blue cast on the branches.

I like the mix of the dead and color. Nice pattern and works well. I like it.

I don't mind the bluish tint on those branches for it goes real well with those beautiful yellow leaves. I might consider cropping down from the top just a wee bit to minimize that open area that pulls my eye a little too much. Other than that, this works for me... well seen and captured.
