Traveling to Cumberland Falls area this coming weekend and was looking for photo opportunities. I know the timing is right for fall colors, be them what they will given the lack of rain. I also know more than I want to know about the moonbow and yes the moon phase will be just right.
So to the veterans like Thomas Biggs and others could you please direct me to other nearby photo attractions?
Is Eagle Falls a seasonal waterfall? Is Gatliff Bridge worthy of a visit? Other areas?
Thanks in advance.

Hey David, man I'm sorry I wont be able to meet this week, we've been trying to get out to west TN for sometime and this time everything is going to work out.
As far as Eagle Falls.. I would almost bet it's seasonal (but I don't know for sure) the folks in the gift shop/office at Cumberland Falls should have some info.. Dog Slaughter Falls is another fall in the area http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/boone/documents/rogs/london/01cumbfall.pdf but with as little rain it may be dry as well. Gatliff Bridge is just above Cumberland Falls, you'll see it from the parking lot.
Another place you might look at is Cumberland Gap National Historic Parkhttp://www.fs.fed.us/r8/boone/documents/rogs/london/01cumbfall.pdf
Also, you might give the Big South Fork a look http://www.nps.gov/biso/ it's a huge area but you will not be to far away from the upper portion if your down around Cumberland Falls.
Hope this helps!!
