Sprague Lake - RMNP
Taken last fall from the east end of Sprague Lake. Hallet' Peak can be seen in the distance. Since I couldn't make it out to CO this fall I thought I'd share this blast from the past.

5D, 24-70L @ 25mm, 1/25 @ f/16, ISO 200, polarizer

Very nice Wayne... Good choice with f/16 for both the foreground and background. It looks like that water is pretty still.

Sure has your wonderful look to it Wayne. The water is like glass! Very nice.

Real nice, Wayne. Great clouds and mirror-like reflection off the water. And Hallet is illuminated evenly, without any cloud shadows. Beautiful work!

Really pretty, Wayne! Love the rocks in the FG and the pristine reflection.

I really need to get to Colorado some day :). Beautiful scene, Wayne. The rocks lead the eye into the scene.

Beautiful shot. As others have commented, the reflection is incredible and I've always been a fan of including foreground elements such as you did with the rocks. Great job.

I lived outside of Denver from my elementary school days though my sophomore year in high school and never owned anything beyond a Kodak instamatic. Seeing all of the wonderful Colorado images that have been posted recently, all I can think of is all of that opportunity wasted :frown:

Wayne, I don't know how you managed to visit Sprague Lake under such calm conditions. This is beautiful. Whenever I've been the wind is howling. Great job.....

Wayne, I really like the reflections and the stillness in the foreground. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Wayne what a great reflection shot! You caught it on a beautiful still day. Nice foreground elements also. I did make it to sprague lake just recently. I only got to shoot one morning the whole trip though. Try to post when I have some time.

What makes this shot for me is the serenity of it. It's what the outdoors and outdoor photography at their best are all about.
