Hedgehog part II
The last one of my cute little friend Spikey. I build him a nice confy box where he can sleep during the winter. I hope to meet him again in springtime.

iso 200 1/80 sec. F5 and a bit of fill flash

Very nice indeed! Is that water or a mirror? :)

Another nice shot of Spikey. What with feeding him and providing a winter hibernaculum he is turning into quite an expensive model. Worth it though.

Another top class image Edwin, reflection perfection in my opinion :toast:

Although superbly executed I'm afraid this image doesn't really do it for me. I think perhaps it looks a little too 'set up'.

Sorry, I missed the other hedgehog. They are both stunning. Love the use of the reflection, autumnal foliage and flash. This one in particular really grabs me. I think it is the slightly coy expression and raise of head. I would quite happily chop off a limb for this!

it's another lovely shot Edwin. I suppose if I were being super critical I would say the fact the 'pond' appears to be elevated is a bit artificial looking. But it's still a lovely image and the colours are great.

Nice work Edwin, I think I might have backed off a little to give a bit more room around the h.hog but I think it's quite appealing..

Hi Edwin, people have already said everything, but I have a question. Does the flash worry the little fellow?

Steve

Hi Stephen,

Flash doesn't worry him at all. Just like most of the mammals they don't mind a tiny bit of flash light.
Not even owls are bothered by the flash.
