Greater potted Woodpecker
Messing around through the window again with the 150 macro.
Bit dark but I thought the background was just that bit different along with the pose. Large crop and about 15 foot away so lacking a bit in the fine stuff.

Really nice pose, and showing the red bits off well... Tis a bit dark as you say, but it could be lifted a bit? I like the composition too, works well.

Thanks Dawn
I suppose I could lift the background a bit but I wanted to see how it went untouched.

I like the comp John, you don't normally see these shot horizontal. If it were mine I'd be tempted to have just a tad more space below as it appears to be looking that way. I quite like the dark background.

nice to see a horizontal GSW image, a bit different as you say. I think this works nicely against the background.

Hello John.

A little more space belowe might be nice but it works fine as is. The dark background works well for me, a very nice GSW image.

Like the different comp and the space in the frame is fine for me. Also like how the dark BG makes the woodpecker stand out
