I was wondering if anyone on this forum has purchased one of these guides before? I have a Nikon D300 and I know that I am only using a fraction of the options available to me and I am looking for a good "guide\book" that will help me tap those other resources available.

I bought one of those long ago, and didn't think highly of it at all.
About one step above the camera manual.
Fortunately, you Nikon owners have a tremendous resource in Thom Hogan's widely praised ebooks. Check out his 'Complete Guide to the D300' and see what you think.
There just happens to be one up for grabs at eBay.

I have Thom Hogan's D300 ebook. I guess it's ok. Breezed through it once it showed up, but haven't really looked at it since. I think I figured out most of what I needed to know from the Owner's Manual. By the time I got Thom's book, it didn't seem like there was much new info. Definitely not as helpful as I'd hoped. As well as the ebook, it came with lots of other goodies I've never found much use for either.
