Just a buck
Apologies to those who made it to Dyrham on Saturday morning, my weekend plans were totally shot to pieces due to an unexpected problem and I didn't get to the deer park until late in the afternoon by which time the main herd had legged it away from the hordes of tourists. Still a bit of patience and a few Fallow bucks were located cooling themselves in the woodland areas

Lovely shot.
Only nit is the OOF grass in front of the deer which for some reason gets my focus first.

A nice buck. Pity about the secong deer lying with it's back to you; and that highlight on the tree trunk is a bit distracting.

Nice looking shot Mike, although I think standing further round to the right might have removed the two distractions already mentioned.

Unfortunately the bracken patch (OOF foreground) was much thicker and obscured the view across the glade further right, this was the only clear shot angle, believe me I tried several vantage points!

A fine specimen, superb detail. Pity you couldn’t have changed your viewpoint, as then the shot would have been raised to another level.

Still an excellent shot tho’.
