Oberg Mountain
This is one of my first attempts at creating a panorama. It was taken a little over a week ago at Oberg Mountain on the Minnesota north shore. This is popular hiking location in the fall because of the colorful leaves. The original shot an a few more shots from Oberg Mountain can be found at my web site .

Phil,
The left side bothers me a bit( what ever is encroaching on the left. Ad for the pan. Your software did a good job. I'm using Panorama Maker and am very pleased with it. Did you polarize? The sky on the left is a it darker. Never polarize when doing a pan.
Nice merge though. If you didn't tell me this was a pan I wouldn't have known.

This is 15 vertical shots shot at 17mm. I tried using Photoshop Elements but that didn't work. I switched to Phoshop 3 and that put them together without any problem. The edge of the mountain is what is showing on the left. I didn't use a polaizer and I set the white balance to sunny.

Any suggestions would be welcome

How ever you did it I think it turned out great. I am sure that it is a wonderful place to be camera or not.

Ah, what a terrific place. Back in 2006 I hiked up to this place 3 times in the fall to attempt a sunrise shot and it was extremely windy each time (thus I couldn't shoot my 4x5, ugh). I haven't been up there since, and wasn't able to make it up to the north shore this season for shooting due to school. I actually like some of you other compositions more on your site, without the railing. This is nice though, and capture the place to a large extent. It's fun to see it through somebody else's eyes! Good work with your pano technique.
