Dan, you have an amazing ability to create wonderful images from what some might call an 'ordinary' scene. This really shows the vibrant character of the contry. I like the aspens popping out of the conifer stand. Well done!

I like the composition with the yellow trees in the middle. You might consider bumping the saturation on the yellow a bit and overall, the image seems to have a bit of a color cast, maybe a little magenta with some cyan?

Very well seen and done, Dan. The composition works very nice. I also think including the top layer of trees fits the scene perfectly.

It feels a bit too far away for my tastes. I like the subdued tones to this tho.

Dan,

Its an image that is very easy to look at. I like it.

I was thinking exactly what Preston wrote. You've organized some 'ordinary' elements into a very compelling comp. The zig-zag pattern leads me from the bottom to the top, taking me past the aspen that anchor the shot and the various details and textures that pull it all together.

Dan,

Ditto to Preston's comments. This is a scene that isn't there in the summer, but really jumps out at you during the fall season. I too like the "zig-zag" and diagonals captured in this vertical composition.

Unlike the previous cottonwood image, I think the Astia rendered the colors a little flat - well, I guess mostly the yellow as it seems a little pale to me. But regardless, the scene as captured is very nice and seen wonderfully.

fully agree with Preston. this is so wonderful. I always wanted to capture this shot of images. the touch of yellow in the middle is what makes this image pop out.
