A shot from an interesting section of the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness. Vine maple is coming on very strong at lower elevations but probably has another week up high ( 3000+ ) This area is exploding with color right now.

I like it. One positive I notice is that the section of river you chose had a few rocks but not so many that the shot is dominated by white water. I also like the yellow vine maple against the backdrop of evergreen. Was this near a trail?

Jay - yes this is just inside the wilderness boundary about 50 yds from the trail over level ground. Fairly easy access, just slippery rocks and mud!
