First Sight
This was the first image I made at Rush Creek at Aerie Crag on the June Lake Loop. The stark white trunks is what caught my eye. Not sure if I was able to convey them in this image.

This is wonderful, Youssef. I love these layered, textured images - especially with the detail that will be present in the 4x5. The warm/cool combo is an extra bonus. The splash of color behind the conifers gives a little extra depth, too. Very nice!

Youssef,

I like the warm/cool of this. A couple of things I might experiment with: toning down the yellows in the background; and warming up the foreground just a touch. It looks pretty darn blue.

Youssef,

Compositionally I feel the previous posting was stronger, but this image certainly captures the white trunks; which, I think hold the image together nicely.

I agree with Rick that the background color gives this seen some added depth. The mix of blues and colors in the LL, seem a bit off - especially the "spot" of blue. Yet the colors in the lower right half seem more reasonable.

I imagine all the chromes looks pretty great!

I'm even more curious to see my images tommorrow, although I don't remember if I have any with sage in it...

agreed with others but I like the mood here. the difference in warm and kool tones and the contrast makes this image for me.

Well everything in the scene looks very natural and oganic! Besides some of that blue but I kind of like sometimes leaving the shady portions of a scene like that. You've got a huge aray of colors going on here.

Is Rush Creek the creek that conects all or some of the lakes?
