First, a big thanks for all the comments on this series - it is really appreciated. The experience of almost one-to-one contact with a wild SEO in the most beautiful countryside has undoubtedly been a memorable experience. I suspect I won't see them for a while (although I'll be looking!)
This image has lost a lot of colour and detail in conversion for some reason, but I liked the way it depicts the habitat in autumn, with the bracken and heather in the background.
Perfect shot Ian, love the surroundings and the perfect DOF.

Very nice last one of the season Ian.
Colours look ok and of course SEO are great birds to see let alone photograph.

It looks good to me, and I would have been proud to have taken any single one of the images you posted, let alone an entire series.

Good work, Ian.. Have enjoyed the series. This one in particular is well executed with great detail where it needs to be and the Autumnal colours are very evident. The DOF is enviable and good to see the bird quartering. Did you manage to get it looking straight at you as well during this episode..?
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ian,
Very nice and a great way to end the series. Composition and colours all work very well together.
