Chase County Falls and a missed opportunity
Yesterday I thought I would see if there were any good fall colors near the falls. Most of the trees were either already bare or stiil green but I thought this one turnrd out about like I wanted.

I talked to a lady there also taking pictures you travels all around the state taking water samples for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. She said (if I heard her correctly) that there are about 600 waterfalls in Kansas. Later,I realised that I should have asked her name and e-mail. A person like that might have been a great resource for shooting locations. All I know is she lives in Lawrence.

Ken, if there are six hundred waterfalls in Kansas then I've got two of them in my backyard water garden! I think she's been sampling the water too much.

BTW, that is some razor sharp detail and a good exposure of the Chase County waterfall. Good work!

Beautiful Ken, great feeling of depth. I wonder what qualifies as a waterfall in order to get 600 of them in our state.

This is a great shot of the falls! Love the splash of color from the trees. Perfect exposure.

I really like the shot. Well-balanced and good color. Pleasing to just look at and enjoy. Thanks.

Beautiful work, Ken. I like the jumbled arrangement of the big slabs of rock, along with the splash of color at the top. And the detail is excellent - very sharp. One thing I might give some consideration to is cropping the small piece of rock in the lower right corner.

This is a very nice shot Ken. Not far from my old stomping grounds. Glad to see you getting there and sharing this.
