Nankoweap Granaries (again)
Yes, I suspect that you all may be tiring of my GC photos. But, I've been busily working them up over the past few weeks. The scanning is all done (after four months!) and now it's just a matter of cleaning up a couple hundred film images. I have a personal deadline of having all of the images cleaned up by later this month, so be ready for a few more. ;)

This photo turned out pretty well, I feel. I liked the perspective of the granaries, canyon & river, and the other photographers and the rafts and camps far below...

Oh! And, thank you very much to Tony Kuyper and his Luminosity Masks! They're amazing! I was very surprised to see how much detail I was leaving behind in the far ends of the curves. I've know Tony for about thirty years, and his Lum Masks are typical Tony - incredibly gifted and valuable!

Pentax 67II, 105mm lens, Velvia 100

Enjoy,

Tim!

I never get tired of GC photos. Keep them coming.

I think you needed to step a few feet to the left for a better composition.

I like what you got here. You did a good job controlling the exposure, too.
The light on the opposite canyon walls is great!
I als feel that TK's Luminosity Mask Adj. Layer actions are an excellent investment toward getting the very best from one's images.

Hopefully, you got a shot like this without people.

I really like the addition of the people for scale, though the one piece of gear left on the ledge is a little distracting. Really nice ligting, velvia colours, very well exposed. I'm looking forward to seeing more fro the GC, I never tire of these shots either!.

Don't know that I've seen a photo of this place w/ people. Really helps me understand the wonder of this spot.

Another nice one, Tim! I find that a lot of Grand Canyon locations don't really come to life without a person or two in the scene.
