I justed posted a cropped (panoramic) version of this on M&N, but because of its local interest, I'll post it here as well. This is The Suspension Bridge, a landmark in Mill Creek Park (Youngstown). It's located about 1/2 mile downstream from the Lanterman's Mill image I posted a couple weeks ago. Like Lanterman's Mill, the Suspension Bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places. This version is the cover image for my 2009 Mill Creek MetroParks calendar. Thus, this is not from the year. The colors around here this year have been less than stellar. I also just posted on ESS an image taken from about this same spot but looking upstream.

Scott,
Boy if there was any way to get the one tree out of the left side of the bridge, I would consider it. It just is very striking to me. Nice stuff though!
I'll be co-leading a workshop over there for part of a day this weekend. This is a very under photographed area.

Jack, as I mentioned, the colors are a little drab this year, and the water level is down. Also, color was a little earlier this year than usual, meaning we're now what I would consider a little past peak. If you are in MCP early in the morning, you might consider the Lily Pond for reflections and wildlife (ducks, geese, turtles). There's still some color there, but we're supposed to get some windy weather today.
Nice shot. THis looks like one of those places that we wish we could spend some time, especially on a lovely day like this one was. I imagine that it is nice in Spring as well.

Very picturesque place. I love all of the various leaves that fell on the rocks in the river. I can see where some close-ups would be successful too. Is this film? It looks like Velvia.
