My GPS system made me to go via HWY89. It was snowing in many places on the way, but by sunset everything cleared out and there was great light...but i am stuck in my car. I took this just by the road.

Thanks, Murali

Obviously your GPS knew something was going to happen on Hwy 89! Fantastic scene! I really like the muted tones in the fg and warm glow. I think the sky could use a bump in contrast if you were so inclined, but it's certainly very nice as is.

The upper right 1/4 also makes an interesting image itself.

Rick, i also have pano of the right side with mountain tops, will post that next. I am little hesitant to bump the contrast, may be thats my inexperiance. Will sure bump contrast over the sky. Thanks for the help.

Great colors and great composition. Why can't I get "stuck" with scenes like this

Beautiful image Murali. Really like the sky color and patches of snow.
How did you get stuck in the car? And how did your GPS take you here?

may be my poor english. I just spent lots of time driving.

I left Bishop area at 1pm and reached san jose at 12 night. Since Tioga pass and 108 are closed. But my GPS is telling me to go by Tioga pass, i ignored it and continued on 395 north. then it asked me to go by 108 and that is also closed. I continued further, then it asked me to go by 89 i saw a sign saying 89 open ... then it asked me to go by 4 , road sign said 4 closed 7 mile ahead. By then, my car is 1/4th tank gas left. It was dark and snowing, ... then i saw Lake Tahoe 29 mile (something like that), then i went to south Tahoe to at least get gas. Once, i reach Tahoe, i got cell signal on my iphone, i checked google maps and drove back by 50 -> 80 -> 680 -> 880 -> home.

i did stop at lundy lake.. but did not spend much time as all tree were green that time.

Ok I fully understand now Murali. This is a very good shot for and processing job for someone without much experience. Can't wait to see what else you come up in the future

Murali,

Despite all your trials and tribulations getting home... this image alone is worth it. Just being able to witness that sky and being able to find a decent foreground should be all you needed to get home... Well done.
