Capitol Peak revisited
I posted this before and a few of you mentioned you would like to see more detail in the shadows. Well, I finally found some time to work on it and here's the revised version. What do you think?

Here's the original post for comparison.

I like #2 much better, Don. Opening up the shadows really helped. I love the comp.

Great job on the revised version! Really helps it "pop"!

The reworked version gets my vote too, opening up the fg shadows really makes a difference!.

Don, I like the repost, but I would scale back the saturation on the colors in the bottom.

I missed the first post. Your rework is a dramatic improvement. What focal length did you use?

Great shot Don!! That reworked shot is a real winner. Actually your original shot was the reason I got down there this fall, as I had never been to the Capitol Creek area before. So thanks for the inspiration!

Don,

I think the added detail is really helping with this shot and it is a really nice shot.

I much prefer the foreground on the revisted version. Makes the whole picture more cohesive. Great job!

A world of difference! Takes an excellent shot and makes it EX+++!

Thank you for all your input. I really appreciate getting your expert opinions
John: I agree the greens came out a little too saturated on the srgb version. I work in Adobe1998rgb and then guesstimate how much extra saturation I need to add to the srgb version, without the extra saturation the srgb usually looks about 10% paler in comparison to the Adobe 98 rgb.
Jesse: I used the Canon 100-400 set at 200mm f8, iso100

Thanks again everyone!

I prefer your reworkde version. I like how the small stand of aspen gives a sense of scale to the scene. Very nice.
