This guy came (almost too close). We had to back off, didn't like the look in eye!

What do you think about maybe a tighter crop so the tail end of the other elk isn't distracting.
Brave to get this close. Those horns look like they could certainly do some damage.

all i can see is an elk butt! try cropping the other dude (or dudette) out. The bull is very clear and is a nice shot!

Hey Laurie, actually I was 50-75 yards away, and he came closer. I didn't even really think about the elk butt...but I think I fixed it. I sorta liked the space on the right side of the image, so I tried a little photoshop magic "dust". Nothing else was altered in the shot, except the "elk butt"!

NIce treatment with that PS magic dust!
Side Note: Why do they always seem to have a piece of grass sticking out of their mouth? I've shot some this fall with the same grass issues. Maybe someone needs to teach them how to floss after eating!

Yeah, he kinda looks like a farm kid chewing on the grass. I like this PS treatment and the glad you preserved the negatice open space on the right... gives him someplace to go!

Really like the repost. With the elk that close, a vert. would have worked as well.
